Osceola County Update
County Commissioners
The Osceola Board of County Commissioners re-elected Ken Shipley as Chairman and Bill Lane as Vice-Chairman for 2008. Indian Wells is located in the County's District I. Under the recently changed "single member districts", Commissioner Paul Owen is our representative on the Board.
Water Restrictions
The South Florida Water Management District has required Osceola County residents to limit lawn watering to two days a week during Florida's dry season. We will be required to comply with restrictions from KUA. For additional information, contact KUA or savewaterfl.com.
Taxes: Tax notices have been mailed to all property owners &/or their mortgage companies.
Osceola County Code Violations
If anyone has a complaint about someone violating a County Ordinance regarding parking, trash, high grass, noise, etc., you may file your complaint directly with the County Code Department at 407-343-3410.
Anti Liter Campaign: The County unveiled their new billboard on Route 192 at Bill Beck Boulevard on Sept. 25th. The message is simple: "Keep Osceola Beautiful, Please don't litter." Litter creates extra work, especially for our landscaping crew on Polynesian Isle Boulevard. We have week day clean-up by our crew and their job would be easier if everyone would use trash cans instead of the boulevard.
